About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join a pioneering leader in the African stablecoins space. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovative solutions and make a significant impact in the FinTech industry. You will play a key role in expanding our platform's reach, developing strategic partnerships, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Business and Partner Acquisition: Prospect, qualify, and negotiate contracts with new clients and partners. Identify and engage with target segments to grow our platform's presence.
Partnership Development: Initiate and manage new partnerships from start to finish, including contract negotiation and proposal evaluation. Drive successful negotiations and ensure partnerships are executed effectively.
Onboarding and Training: Oversee the onboarding process for new partners, including sales and product training. Ensure partners are well-equipped to use and promote our platform.
Partner Management: Maintain accurate pipeline reports and manage relationships with partners. Conduct regular reviews and provide updates to senior leadership.
Achieving Success: Meet and exceed revenue targets. Visit partners and attend local events to foster relationships and promote our solutions.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate business terms with strategic partners and collaborate with administration, marketing, and legal teams to finalize agreements.
Business Development: Drive new business revenues from financial institutions and emerging markets. Build and enhance product offerings to meet client needs.
Collaboration: Partner with the product team to drive the adoption of API features and ensure compliance with company standards and best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
At least 5 years of experience in Business Development or a similar Head of Sales role
Proven experience working in Africa
Strong background in the full-cycle B2B sales process, including onboarding, integration, and partnership management
Project Management experience is a plus
Excellent closing skills and strategic decision-making abilities
Deep understanding of the FinTech and cryptocurrency sectors
Expertise in B2B sales, client management, and third-party distribution
Experience in selling API solutions and partnering with product teams
Ability to operate transparently in a collaborative environment
Skilled at driving growth and improving performance through industry knowledge and customer focus
